Promise of Old

Though moments in time may bring thee affliction, hardships to bear, untold maledictions. Searcheth thine soul, thine spirit, thine heart. For troubles and toils shall one day, depart. A promise of old be thou one to believe. A story unfolds if thine heart would concieve. A story of conquests, and mysteries untold. A story of innocence, onto which nightmares unfold. Bendeth thine ear, inclineth thine heart. A hope doth draw near, a hopeful new start. My own world hath crumbled, in times long ago. Didst cause me to stumble, my life filled sorrow. Yet shimmering faintly tis light I do see, for the promise of old is still yet to be. My own steps hath fallen betraying its call. Thoust must continue, respond with thine all. Turn ye not back for friends of thine past. The journey continues. Be thou up to the task? Forward you go. Completeth thine course. Few will be with thee yet have no remorse. Straitaway be the path, the path thou dost see. For the promise of old is still yet to be...
